The Aims and Objectives of the Cam Parish Council are:

1) To seek to achieve best value in all areas of its activity.

2) To promote equal access to services for all.

3) To have due regard to the need to eliminate unlawful racial discrimination, promote equality of opportunity and promote good race relations between people of different racial groups.

4) To provide a democratic representational voice for the people of Cam.

5) To ensure that today's improvements do not cause future harm.

6) To give local people the opportunity to influence their future.

7) To work in partnership with other agencies and all the people of Cam to achieve its objectives.

All services and proposed services of the Council will be evaluated against the above aims and objectives. In particular, all applications for financial assistance from other bodies will be assessed on the basis of the extent to which the service being provided by that body meets the above criteria.
